Bangalore, July 31 (IANS) The Congress Saturday charged Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi with indulging in 'sensationalism' and 'dramatics' with his rhetoric on the Sohrabuddin Sheikh case.

Defending the Central Bureau of Investigation's plea to the Supreme Court to transfer the case out of Gujarat, Congress party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said it showed lack of confidence in the Gujarat government's prosecution agency.

Modi was known for 'grandstanding', Singhvi told reporters here referring to his query to the central government earlier in the day whether Gujarat was an enemy of the country as the CBI has gone to the apex court seeking transfer of the case.

Singhvi said the Supreme Court had transferred from Gujarat to Maharashtra several cases relating to violence in Godhra. 'Did he not feel insulted then?' he asked.
