Washington, Feb 4 (ANI): Mel Gibson's publicist has rubbished reports that the actor swore at an American TV host at a recent interview, insisting the star's remark was directed towards him.

Gibson was allegedly caught on air calling WGN-TV presenter Dean Richards an "a**hole" after he was quizzed about his drinking past and infamous anti-Semetic rant

However, the Braveheart star's rep Alan Nierob says Gibson was swearing at him, rather than Richards, reports Contactmusic.

Nierob justified his statement by revealing that he had been "pulling faces" at Gibson during the interview. (ANI)
