The film Aa Okkadu raised the expectations of the audience as the film stars villain turned hero Ajay in the lead. He manages to draw good crowds to the theater.

Story:

The film is a suspense thriller. A murder is committed and Pavithra (Madhurima) is one of the suspects. Pavithra is a psychologist and she helps the police is solving hard nut cases. Sri Krishna (Suresh Gopi) is a wily criminal lawyer and he has an assistant named Bongarala Bujji (Ajay). Sri Krishna helps a fake swamiji to come out of a case unscathed.

Pavithra stays with her father and her niece. Her brother-in-law is a drunkard and she takes care of the child after the death of her sister.. But the drunkard wants to have possession of the child and he keeps harassing Pavithra.

However another murder is committed. Pavithra assists the police is solving the case. The police suspect that the murder was committed by Pavithra and that she is only trying to cover it up in the guise of helping them.

The rest of the film runs on suspense element and the effort is now on to race the real culprit. Who is it? Is it Pavithra or Sri Krishna or Bongaral Bujji or someone else? Watch the rest of the film on the screen.

Performance:                                                                                                    

Ajay debuts as hero with this film. He does a god job but needs to improve in many departments before he can really impress. He is more at ease as a villain than a hero. Newcomer Madhurima has the looks and figure to impress. She does a god job for a debutante. Suresh Gopi is a very senior Malayalam actor but his acting is just average.

Sunil, Dharmavarapu, MS Narayana and master Bharat manage to raise some laughs.

The story and screenplay are weak. The director also fails to keep up the tempo. The music is average while the production values of Tolly 2 Holly are good.

The film runs at a slow pace in the first half and nothing much happens in the second half too. The editing is sloppy. The film is too lengthy and runs for close to three hours.

The film has limited appeal and will appeal to only those who enjoy suspense thrillers. Its fate at the box office is unlikely to be encouraging.
